Neuroblastoma ? HVA, VMA dr's and nurse's please
Hi-
The dr. called last night and Abby's urine study came back with elevated HVA and VMA 3 times more than it should be. The dr. mentioned neuroblastoma, does anyone have any other diagnosis that could cause this. I am really worried right now. Thanks Please everyone who believes in the healing power of God please pray!!! Thanks

You and your daughter are in my prayers. VMA and HVA are substances produced by the body that have to do with the hormonal and neurological systems. They can also be elevated in pheochromocytoma. That disorder and neuroblastoma are tumors that produce those substances. They can be small and curable. I think it is best to wait and see what your physician has found in the cat scan and what the next step is. I do know this must be so hard and frightening but I am happy you have found doctors that are working with you and will figure it out.
