Anyone else wait till the last minute like me? WHat was I thinking? Especially since I get a refund!
Anyone know how long till the refund hits the bank account? Knowing that will get me through this weekend!

Yes, we are one of "those" people who are just now doing our taxes. our accountant (who is also our neighbor) just lOVES us. It just isn't the same when you are paying a fortune at tax time instead of getting a refund. Grrrr, I hate tax time!!

Yep--have waited to file our states until this weekend. Don't know why--they're actually done (via Turbotax); just need to assemble docs, sign, make copies and mail in. Why not file electronically? The answer is unbelievable--because we contribute to the state's college savings plan, for which we get a tax credit, they want actual copies of the backup docs--why can't they just link to our agency records?? I would far rather file electronically--the last time I filed on paper they messed up our return and we only got half our tax credit, until I spend a good bit of time talking with them. Finally got it right.

The feds we did last weekend; we had to pay. Believe me, it only took about a day for them to take the money from our account.

But, on a brighter note, we only owe taxes because we earn money. Better to do that than the alternative, I think!

Off to make my copies now...

Got ours in 10 days using Turbo Tax efile. Went right into the bank account and it was a very large amount!!!! I wasn't sure they would direct deposit it, but they did!!!

I am pretty proud of myself NOT waiting until the last minute. The last minute is Wednesday, and I am doing them TODAY!
