and 5 kiddo's, I placed my 1st phone call to POISON CONTROL!
Yep, that's right DS, got ahold of a xopenex respule (goes in a nebulizer) chewed through it and DRANK IT.
Now this is the kid that will not drink any kind of juice, soft drinks, or tea. He only drinks milk and water and HE DRANK A MEDICATION YOU INHALE NOT DRINK.
Poison Control said it would just make him really really hyper but no harm none.
This boy is going to give me gray hair!

Glad he is okay. At least yours was a legitimate call. When my Shih Tzu ate a Prozac I called poison control. They LAUGHED, and asked me to repeat it (I am pretty sure they put it on speakerphone!) But they did say she would be okay, just very mellow for a while.

I think you are doing well. I've only been a mother for 6 years and I have 3 kids. I've had to call poison control for all 3 of them!! LOL Glad he's ok!

and i'm SO glad the little one is ok. when i saw the post i thought uh oh- i bet he got really hyper. did he?

oh, and do you really notice a difference between xopinex and regular albuterol? julian seems to get more hyper from the xopinex and the albuterol was so much cheaper i just switched him back...

Hi Samantha,
DS does both Xopenex & Pulmicort in a nebulizer 3 times a day. They have never tried him on the albuterol. DD does Xopenex twice a day and singular twice a day and she isn't hyper but refuses to take naps anymore. DS takes naps & goes to bed at 7pm but is ON THE GO when he is a wake.
Would love to know if that's what's causing it!!!!!!
Could be that he is just ALL BOY!

My little one may or may not have taken one of my blood pressure pills a few months ago. So up to the ER we went. He was fine just scared me to death. Needless to say we are alot more careful about keeping our medicines put up. Kids aren't they great fun? :-)
