Can you copy the COC to send in with the form? It says that is a for of ID for it but on it says you cannot copy it?
Also I didnt copy the back of the Perm Res Card and that is another form. I had to turn it in to get the COC. I didnt have to do that with my first adoption. I cannot remember what I sent in with the paperwork for ID. Thanks Becky |

My understanding is that it is only illegal to make an exact copy of the COC. You can size it up or down a little and be fine. Though honestly I just popped it on the copier and copied it as is and almost 4 years later they haven't come after me.
Really I think as long as you aren't trying to do something illegal with it there isn't a problem. You can also copy the Guat passport for the second piece of ID. Don't forget to include a copy of the child's BC showing you as the parent to prove you are allowed to request the packet. Some people are also asked for ID for themself, so it doesn't hurt to throw in a copy of your DL and passport. Hope that helps! ![]()
