Does anyone know if tax refunds still go into bank accounts usually on Fridays? It used to be this way - we haven't done an Efile in a while but this year, our acct. did it via E-file. He said it only takes a few weeks but I was wondering if it's still typically deposited into your acct. on a Friday? Thanks

Yes-it usually takes about 10 days. I think there's a schedule on the IRS website but I couldn't locate it.

You can go to the IRS website and click on "Where's My Refund?" and it will tell you exactly when your refund should be deposited or mailed.

We are one of those who are getting the big adoption credit this year - yeah! I don't know if it is because of that, but they are not direct depositing our money even though that is what we are signed up for. The "Where's My Refund?" page says that they are mailing us a check instead. I think I read that this has happened to others, too.

I efiled on February 16th and haven't heard anything. I got on "Where's My Refund" page and it says sorry they can't tell me anything. Hopefully that's not bad news!

Thanks for this info! This worked - it gave me the date and everything. What a great tool.
