I've filed and gotten our refund.....

I had to fill out the fafsa for school... and I'm in grad school so I wanted to make sure I got it in early....

It was pretty easy this year... and will be even easier next year.... gotta love turbo tax!!!!

We have ours figured, but since we owe a HUGE amount (thanks to the stock sales to afford our son's adoption), we're waiting until the last possible minute to actually file them. Now, next year when we can claim the adopiton tax credit, I'll probably file as early as possible!

We owe a huge amount too. We used Turbo Tax and filed online. But we didn't pay yet. They have our return and we printed out the payment voucher. We'll pay by mail. We will wait till April 14th, I'm sure.

Well, ours are ready to go, EXCEPT we are having a hard time with SS on getting DS's number They don't like our translations (which of course are certified translations the same as when we brought DD home and had no problem). I think it is actually going to be quicker at this point to get his readoption done (we have to wait 6 mo here to file so we are ready to file this week), get his new US birth certificate and file with that under his "new" name. All of this means we'll be taking an extension.
Vent- why can't the SS office at least hire people who smile?

Hmmm......as my hubby owns a CPA firm, ours will probably be done when they are done every other year....October 15th. We will go on extension on April 15 and we are always the last ones done on October 15th. What is that saying about the plumber's wife always having the leaky sink???

Mine are done and I already have my refund. Now if I could only get my state refund. I live in CA does that tell you anything??? Grrrrrrrr

Had to get mine done early in February before the birth of the baby. Didn't think much would get done with 3 kids around.

I've had them almost done since January, but need one more tax form for an investment in order to finish and file. Thank God, they're mailing the K-1s tomorrow. I want to get my refund!

Had someone else do them...ours were quite complicated this year. Waiting for our $$$ and we still have part of our adoption credit for next year. YES!

I voted other because we will file by April 15th, but we always have to wait for our accountants to get our K1's done so that we can officially file. We'll file and then file an extension and then get them actually done by the fall.

I need to do ours - and I should have done them this weekend - but they aren't even started. I think I have everything I need. I'll probably get them done just before the deadline like I do every year.
