Anyone apply for a Passport Card
If anyone has applied for a passport card can you please tell me how long it took to get back your documents? I applied on Feb. 14 and still haven't gotten anything. The guy at the post office said it would take about 6 weeks for the card, but I thought I would get back my documents sooner. I'm starting to stress over it.

I haven't applied for the card, but when I renewed my DD's passport in Dec, I got the passport first and the documents in a separate envelope a few days later, actually. There was a letter with the passport saying that the documents would follow, so I didn't panic, lol.
However, I had both the documents and the passport back within about 8 days of submitting the application...6 weeks seems long. Not sure why the cards would take longer???

I sent out for DD`s passport in Nov 2008, I received a paper in the mail staing they needed something elce, I sent that in about week after I received the letter, and had her passport the next week. So the whole thing only took about 3 weeks for me, and that was with the letter. I also received a letter telling me the original documents would being coming in the mail in a seperate envelope, I received that envelope within a couple of days. Tammy

I applied for my DD's passport book not the card & I got it in less than a week. I did the expedited b/c Iwas worried about having my documents out there. but they told me that if I paid the nonexpedited fee it takes about 3 weeks
