Gotcha Day!
Two years ago today we were in GC and I took my son into my arms FOREVER. On one hand it feels like he's always been here, but in measurable terms it's ONLY been twenty-four months! It's impossible to wrap my mind around. The only explanation seems to be he was 'always' meant to be my son. I felt drawn to this process by the faceless voice of a child... even though that felt too trite to say out loud while I was 'in process'. Now I shamelessly begin our adoption story with that memory... knowing full well that the only people who really understand what I mean are all of you.
My thoughts and prayers are always with those of you who still wait.... and for the many, MANY children in Guatemala in need of forever families.
