OT - Creating a website?
My daughter's preschool is thinking of creating a website and I may try to help put it together. Trouble is I know nothing about website creation.
 Can anyone point me to some resources to help me learn? Many thanks!

My partner is an art director and she designs websites for a living. She said if you just want to do an easy website there are some good templates you can buy for $50 and under. You just need to plug in pictures and text. There are even some that are free but they aren't as good.
You will also have to buy a domain name too - usually under $20. Good luck! Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I created a "family" website..and I am not at all tech saavy. You can visit it at suppesfamily.com
The domain costs about $30 a year and includes a very user friendly website builder and web hosting. SO SIMPLE!! PM me if you want more details... Good luck!

You can go to godaddy.com to buy the domain name and then the site will help you create the website. It's super super easy. The domain name is about $10 and then there are options for the website creations. The free one is great and gives you lots of options. Good Luck and have fun!!

You could also try Scriptlance.com
My DH has used that site many times. It's kind of along the lines of ebay. You post what you need and/or want your website to look like, as well as, any clickable features, photo upload features, etc. and programmers will bid on the job. There's a rating system and you can check out previous jobs the person has done before you decide on someone. They do everything! A lot of times you can negotiate terms to include a "trouble shooting" period, in case you have problems with the site. Good Luck!

You can get a free site at Store and Share Documents Online | Create a Free Website | Microsoft Office Live The domain name is free for the first year, then $14.95 each following year. They have a lot of simple and easy to use templates, plus free e-mail accounts. I have been using them for over a year now.
