Adopted children from both Russia and Guatemala

Are there any other families out there like ours??

Our son, now 5, is from Russia and our daughter, now 18 months, is from Guatemala.

It would be neat to find another family that is similar to ours.

Hola and Privyet!

We brought our daughter home from Guatemala on 12/18/07. And we are preparing for our second trip to Moscow on 3/9/09. Our son should be home by the end of March, according to our agency. So, we are very similar to your family!

We're also preparing for a third and final adoption from China or elsewhere (depending on lots of things). We live in Southeast Louisiana. It is always nice to find families similar to your own, so it's nice to "meet" you.

Russia & Guatemala

We adopted two from Russia in 2001-at the time they were 3 and 18 months. We completed our Guatemala adoption in 2007-she was 22 months when we brought her home. We have all girls, they are now 10, 9, and 3 years old. The two from Russia are biological sisters, so that was good to keep them together.

Good to know there are others out there that has adopted from other countries.

Me too

My middle son, age 6, came home from Russia in December 2003, oldest son, age 6, came home from Guatemala in March 2004, and my youngest son, age 4, came home from Guatemala in March 2005.

Single mom and I'm done, despite what my group name implies.

Well, not from Russia, but we do have one adopted from China and one from Guatemala and one biological. The two adoption stories couldn't be any different in how they put up for adoption so to speak.

Can anyone tell me their opinions about which was easier in regards to paperwork. We have adopted from Russia but we cannot possibly afford it again.

We were thinking about Guatemala when it opens. Is Guatemala more strict than Russia?

Our family is Russian/Guatemalan mix. We have a son Dmitry who is 10 and was adopted from Russia almost 9 years ago. We just celebrated our 2 year baby Sophia's first anniversary last Friday.
