I know we all live in such different lives in different places. What do you see when you step out your front door???
I see one neighbor to the right, one to the left, and a quiet county road on both sides. There's a pond across the street. That's it. We just moved here and it's SOOOOO quiet! I don't know if that's good or bad! There's no kids... no cars... really nothing... Fun for bike rides, and letting the kids run wild, but not much else.

We have a house to the left, one to the right, a small street in front of our house with more house`s. Basically a quiet street. In back we have a hugh backyard, behind the fence in the backyard is a cemetary, so we dont hear much out of those folks,
. A nice area. Tammy |

House on either side to the east and west and there is a street that dead ends into our street directly in front of our house, so looking north from my front door I am looking down a street lined with houses. Ahhhh . . . suburbia!
Personally, if I had my choice, I would live in Manhattan or Washington DC (went to college there) but DH feels it is to far a commute considering his job is in Michigan. ![]()

We live on a corner lot with the street in front of us as a rather busy one. So to the right is our drive and a condo, to the left a quiet street and more houses and down into the village center, directly across from us is our Catholic church and rectory and huge parking lot and next to that is the village cemetery.

House to the left, house to the right, houses all in a row across the street. Postage-stamp sized backyard, BUT the backyard does overlook trails and a stormwater pond and LOTS of very tall evergreens.

Out the front is the cul-de-sac and the house across from us.
Out the back is a beautiful woods, leading up to a golf course. Nice view...

We see an old duplex to the left and a fish stand to the right and to the front, beach across a very noisy, busy street and beyond the beach, water, buoys, boats and the outline of Long Island in the far distance.

We have a house to the left and a house to the right. Straight ahead is the cul de sac. Lots of kids playing. In the back we are located on the biggest hill you'd ever see and when it's clear (no tree leaves) you can see the Arch all the way downtown. I love the city lights from here.

A house to the right a house to the left and a big grassy field across the street. There is a small park beyond that and then of course the freeway. It is sunken though so least we can't see it. :-)

House to the right (empty but sold), vacant lot to the left. Across the street is another empty field so I can see the nearly finished neighborhood pool/park area a few streets over. Out the back beyond our fence is more empty field and off in the distance a bit, my daughter's elementary school. We are one of the first families in a new subdivision...waiting for some neighbors! Pretty quiet here too.

Our house is at the end of a cul-de-sac on top of a hill. The view from the front door is houses down both sides of the street, woods on the hills behind the houses, and off in the distance, city lights and such (pretty cool view at night). Most of our neighbors are older and only a few have kids - infants or teens - so it's quiet other than light traffic. (Well, except for Sunday mornings when some neighbor apparently gives voice lessons.) Our front yard is not too small; backyard includes a wooded hill behind which is a ravine. Many deer and other wildlife come into our yard often, because we're close to a forest reservation.
