I am just curious, am I the only one who prays I will just happen to come across my daughter's bio sibling? I have hundreds of FB friends most I do not know, but have Guatemalan children. I look at everyone kiddos with a magnifying glass. DD's bio sib was adopted in 2004 and I just feel I am going to come across her someday. Does anyone else feel like this? I am a member of the yahoo sibling registry, but I feel like that will never work in a million years. I figure I have a better chance on FB.

I think about it all the time. Giovanni is from Mazatanengo and Antonio from Izabel. I try to see if anyone mentions where there kids were born. I look at the pics to see if they look alike. I have even e mailed people on this board and asked if they had the same mother. I know they both have siblings here.

my two kiddos are bio siblings and we know that there are two other older bio siblings who also were adopted. In my signature you could read the original names, birth date and bio mom name in case.

I am on an AVID hunt for the kids Bio Siblings. I am on the Yahoo Reg., along with a couple of other... I am now on FB, and adding friends I don't know that know someone, that know someone else, hoping some day I will hit the jackpot...

Then, I would post the birth siblings name on my status, asking if this name looks like someone they know...

Someday... I can only pray~!

I know my kids have 2 older sisters out there, and 1 older brother still in Guat living with the Grandparents.

What if you don't know if they are still with your child's birth mom or if they were adopted? Is there a wasy to find out if it was never in any of the paperwork? I always assumed they were still in Guatemala.

I don't know... Everything I have was in the packet that I recieved when I sent in the G-884... Have you sent that in? I also rec. a copy of the Birth Mother Birthcertificate, along with a copy of the Grandmothers... (not really sure why I rec. the grandmothers... BUt happy about it.)

I also look very closedly at the pictures posted in this forum and have PM'ed some of them a couple of times when I think the picture has a similarity to DD, but no luck so far. My DD has an older brother living with the grandparents in Sn. Matin Jilotepeque and a sister who was born/adopted between 2004 & 2006. So far, I've not found any info on her, but I'll keep looking...

I would love to see Zach's older brother. The SW report says that he lives with his grandmother. BTW Zach is from Mazatanengo also.

We were fortunate enough to be found by my oldest DD's bio sister's family. I am so grateful that we were on the yahoo registry. However, I too, long to find my middle DD's sibling. I pray that someday it willl happen. She was born in Guatemala City

How do I get on that registry? I know my DS has a brother who was adopted by someone in the US and would love to find them. My agency promised they would get us connected, and they never did.

We found our oldest's bio sibling on the registry in early 2006! It has been a great experience. We are hoping to meet them in person this Summer!

Both my daughter & son were born in Mazatanengo 2 years apart, different birthmom's. MY daughter was the 5th child born when we adopted her. My son was the 1st child born to his birthmom in 2006. I would love to see if they could find & meet their bio siblings.
