OT: How cold is it where you live?
It was -19 this am and dipped to -21 when I was driving my oldest to school. Today wasn't even supposed to be the coldest day of the week. Yikes! I am dreading tonight. My husband works late so I have to drag the whole crew out to take my daughter to hockey practice and to drop my other daughter at her Orchestra Concert. I am turning into a total wimp about the cold as the years go by.

We're in Dallas, TX and the temp has been around 40 degrees today. We're so up and down though. You never know what tomorrow has in store for us.

Well, when I saw the thread title, I thought 'REALLY, REALLY cold!" but after reading what it is at your house, I guess we are not so bad off. It is currently 18 degrees here with the wind chilll taking it down into the single digits. And colder tomorrow.

I live in the north metro area of Minneapolis.
It was -22ºF this morning. I think the high today was -5ºF. It's supposed to warm up this weekend, possibly as warm as 30ºF on Saturday. My youngest isn't going to like that. The ice will get soft on the rink. Once winter sets in around here, I'd rather it didn't get over about 20ºF too often - any warmer than that and snow gets sticky for skiing and ice gets soft for skating. For you folks in the southern states and other warm climates, no, I'm not crazy. It doesn't really take all that long to get adjusted to our cold weather. I don't even bother to zip up my coat unless it's below zero or I'm going to be out for a long time.

SW FLorida here...we're in the 60's right now and our lows will go into the 40s. This is a "cold" week for us. We have highs in mid to upper 60s and lows in the 30-40 range for the week. I like it though. It's a nice break from the dreadful summer we have in store.

Here in SC we made it to 45 today. Fri is suppose to be 36 and 18 at night. That is pretty cold for SC. But I just wish we could have 1 snow this year for my kids. They even have their new sleds all ready!

I was talking to my dad about the cold last night. When I was born, they lived in Alaska. I was born in the dead of winter - February and my dad said it was negative 43 degrees (not including wind chill) the day I was born.
Brrrr! Is it any wonder I hate the cold??

It is very cold here! It's -10 right now here in Wisconsin, with windchill overnight as -35, and tomorrow's low is -18. It seems to always be extreamly cold every year at this time!!

OK, I guess I won't complain about our 20 degree weather...but it is really blustery so it certainly feels miserable and we are supposed to be below zero in the mornings later this week too. I'm in Kansas---we definitely have all four seasons and I will take the heat any day!
