Heart

I had 2 painful ganglion cysts in my wrist. Oh they hurt bad. With a brace and motrin, I got through the painful period. They used to flare up during really stressful times (like when my son was born), but today I have no evidence of them. They seem gone to me! Honestly, I wouldn't do surgery unless the pain is unbearable.

I had one on my wrist and did have it removed. It bothered me a lot in my job. But before having it removed my sister in law did try whacking it with the Bible. She called it a Bible cyst and said that was the best treatment. Nope dont recommend that one at all.
My 22 year old son has had one that comes and goes for years. He has had it drained but it did come back. Sometimes its gone for a long time then just appears.
Good luck to your little one.
Patty

Your doctor is wrong. They do come and go and unless they're painful there is absolutely no reason to risk surgery. I have had two and slammed one with a book (actually my DH did...true love) and the other just lives on my hand

I wouldn't necessarily trust the surgeon either, kind of like asking a sales clerk if you should buy something today. I would also make sure your insurance would cover it since it may be considered cosmetic if its not painful.

You can do both surgeries together. Cameron was circumcised and had two skin tags on his neck removed at the same time. Everyone at the hospital said it was a good idea that I had thought to do it. It made it much easier on him.

Hugs,

Mindy

I had to have three surgeries (one grew back post surgery)for these on my wrists (high school and college.) Mine were very painful and I ended up with some nerve damage...so for me surgery was the best option.

Good luck...
