Re-adopt in IL paperwork?
We are putting together our paperwork for re-adoption. Did anyone get a copy back of their I-600 totally filled out?

I readopted in Cook Co and I just needed a copy of my home study, the social workers follow up reports, the Protocolo and Guatemalan birthcertificate,and the attorney filed the papers. Then we went to court and the child had a "guardian" (just paper work) and then the new birth certificate and paper work came about 5 months later. It's not manadatory to go for the second court appearance. The cost was about $1000.00.
I don't think in Illinois you can do this without an attorney. I don't remember doing the I600 for this. the last time I did this was 2006. Good luck, Mary

I am in the process. I just took the attorney the same paperwork Mary did and he is doing the rest. We haven't had a court date yet but Zach was served with his papers. I am in Madison County.

Same here, we only needed the paperwork Mary mentioned. We are currenlty waiting for our court date as well.
