Okay, we sent in our G-884 back in August and still have not received the sealed packet. We're starting to panic here. What was your time-frame? And does anyone know who to call to get things moving.

Where did you send it? Buffalo (where you would send it for an IR3) is usually much quicker than that.

You can email Child-Citizenship-Act @dhs.gov or call 716-551-4741 ext 6130 (this is the Buffalo office) and if you give them your child's A# then can tell you exactly where the packet is. Just be sure to include your child's A# as that is what the packet is tracked by. It is on the COC (not the COC number, but the A#) or on the visa in her passport

I would email to see where your file is. You may have sent to wrong place. Our's was back in 6 weeks.

Ours were back in about 6 weeks. I would email. I emailed before I sent ours to make sure they were sent to the right place. They emailed me back the same day.

We sent ours in May and just got them back last week. It was to the Nebraska Service Center and they are VERY slow. It took over a year for our first one's COC name change.

I had emailed the local office about a month ago and all I got was the automated response "We give careful attention to each case. Be patient. Don't call us. We'll call you. blah. blah. blah."

Debbie - You had the magic email address! I sent them an email late last night and got a response first thing this morning (like 7:05 am). Our office is processing it NOW and we should have it within a week. YEAH!

y_tacker - I'm sorry yours took so long. I wonder what's up with these people sometimes.
