G-639 vs G-884 What's the difference?

Has anyone sent in the request papers for both the G-884 and G-639? What other information did you get after sending in the G-639? I'm wondering what you actually get with that? I already filed for the G-884 and went through a lot of trouble to get the paperwork sent to me. (Long story on that!)

Vicki,
The G-639 includes everything that was used in your file, not just what was turned over at immigration. Depending on what is in your file there could be more birth mom photo's and information you don't already have. Everyone's information really tends to be different depending on your case.

So, do you then file BOTH the G-639 AND the G-884?

I would if you want to be sure you have requested ALL docs associated with your adoption...not just those used when you turned in your packet. Apparently, the ^639 takes FOREVER to get anything back, but the form was simple (once CBORSA helped me!!!!
