For those who have sent in the G639...
I sent ours in a few weeks ago. I just got a letter acknowledging our request and telling us how to track our 'case.' I guess they classify requests as "complex track" and "faster track." Complex track appears to mean that you want everything in their files and faster if you are requesting a specific doc.
Anyway...onto the question...did you get this letter and how long after did you hear from them again? They make it sound like "complex track" amounts to an act of Congress... Thanks! At least the request made it there! Oh and I am editing to tell you that I tracked our request...this was the response: "Your request is currently number 60428 of 61181 pending requests in Track Two." UGHHHHHHHHHHHHH This will take forever!!!

It took us almost exactly one year to get our "slow track" back and we got it back on CD. It was worth the wait!

Is this the freedom of information request? Did you request it on CD or is this just how they sent it?

Yes - it is the Freedom of Information Act request. The letter states that you can call them and they will change your request to the CD format. I tried yesterday but was on hold FOREVER. I am calling FIRST thing Monday...though what is the rush??? Looks like I have a good year or so before they get to us!!!

Look at the recent thread that mention DPline in the title. I used the same verbage (more or less) that I used on the 884 doc.

Momofmng - Do you mind saying what you got back from the G639 that was different from the G884?
I have no reason to believe the I didn't get both of my children's entire packets from the G884, so I have never bothered with the G639. But now your post has me curious if there might be more out there!
