I need some help and don't know how to find it. When I recieved my sons paper there wasn't any medicial information about his birth parents. My son is having some issues now and I don't know if these are problems in his birth family. Would any one have some suggests on how I could find information about his birth family? I would appreciate any help!

if it were me, i'd probably first email the atty and see if they know, remember, or have anything in their file .

then i'd consider hiring a searcher to find out the information.

But keep in mind the vast majority of people in Guatemala have never seen a doctor in their lives. So...even if you manage to get in touch with the birthfamily you may not receive any specific information about their medical histories.

Many attorneys are unwilling to allow adoptive parents to have contact with relinquishing moms.... even after the adoption has been final for a while.

To find reputable searchers, you may want to try the Yahoo group: GuatemalaBirthFamilies

While I believe that establishing contact with your son's mom in Guatemala may be a great thing, you may be unlikly to get the medical information you seek.
