Contents of envelope left with Immigration?
Does anyone know if the envelope left with immigration officials upon entry to the US contains an original initial birth certificate? I have the amended, but not the one listing birth parents. I'm trying to obtain this for my readoption.
Thanks! |

My G-884 packet only had the original BC with our names on it, not the birth parents. I don't personally know anyone who has this, but maybe someone else can help?

There were some difference in what was in each of my children's packets, but that is one thing that was in both. No guarantee, but it was for us.
Also, if you haven't already, check with your agency. I would think they should have had a copy on file. Good luck!

Our packet did include our daughter's original birth certificate as well as the original with our names listed as parents.
Good luck! Denise |

We got both of my girls BC's from their lawyers along with copies of other documents when we were there to bring the girls home. I also received a photo copy of each when we got the immigration packet back (after almost a year

Reference to the biological parent(s) is also included in the final resolutions papers.
I do have both Guate BCs - one with bio mother listed as parent with child's original first and last name(s) and the other with our names listed as parents and the chid has their original first name(s) but our last name (s) They are two separate documents with distinct civil registro numbers.

I did not get the original back in my packet. I got a scanned copy when dd was referred so I have a little info about birthmother on it.
