OT: 4th Grade Christmas Party Ideas
You guys were a great help with ideas for the Halloween party I had to plan for my son's fourth grade class so now I am coming back begging for ideas for their Christmas party. I have just realized that it is two weeks from today and I no ideas what I am going to do! Luckly it is only 1 hour.
Any ideas for a craft? Games? Easy, non-messy (but maybe a little nutritious!) seasonal foods? Help, please!!!

We did this in 3rd grade but maybe it would work with some modifications???
Throw Santa down the Chimney ~ For this game we covered a long narrow sturdy carboard box with red paper and then drew on the lines like bricks. We then used cotton or batting or something to make snow around the top of the "chimney." We then had them stand back aways and using bean bags (Santa) throw them down the chimney! You might have to weight down the bottom of the box to prevent tipping over. Pin the piece on the Snowman ~ Using left over wall paint we painted a snow man on a huge piece of refrigerator box cardboard. Then cut out pieces like button eyes, nose, mouth, top hat, etc covered their eyes, twirl three times and pin away! You might want to have several scarves or bandanas and ask the teacher about head lice?? There are some darling craft projects with paint stir sticks which you may be able to get donated by your local hardware store. Another simple craft is to make a candy cane out of a white pipe cleaner and red and clear tri beads. It is best to get the TRI beads since they fit together tightly but regular white and red beads can be used in a pinch. I usually hook the first one on and bend the end tight and then if you use tri beads you alternate 3 red, 3 white, etc.. If you use regular beads you can play with it to see what looks best. Musical chairs to Christmas music is always fun!! Good Luck!! I remember doing the 2nd grade party for my son and found out at 11:00 that they were dismissing at 12:15 b/c of a storm!! It was the fastest party in history!! Renee |
