6 Years Ago Today December 4, 2002
Wow, it is so hard to believe that 6 years ago I was on my way to Guatemala to meet my son Daniel for the first time. Lucky for me, my parents met me in Atlanta and we were 4 hours late taking off due to fog and ice but we landed at 1:AM and at 12:PM, Danny was with me for a short visit. Now my angel is 6 and I cannot tell you how fast it has gone (however when they are sick or up all night it seems so slow
 )Here is a photo of our first meeting and the second the one on the stairs at La Casa Grande is one on December 22 when Danny was placed in my arms forever. While the memories make me so warm and fuzzy, I feel so sad that so many are still waiting and so many will never have the chance to parent a child from Guatemala. Happy Anniversary Mary!
I almost feel like I should know you, having been on these boards for so long. I was right behind you 6 years ago...meeting my daughter for the first time in January 2003 when she was 4 months old, and bringing her home in March --also enjoying the hospitality of La Casa Grande both times! And now they are 6...where does the time go????? Your boys are gorgeous and growing up so much! Congratulations!

Wow, Mary they are getting so big!! I sure remember you. You had the same agency I did with Connor's back in '04/05. So wonderful to see your pics, and happy special anniversary!!

Mommy to C&C  Still praying...for 1 more 10/17/07-Found you 10/22-It's official 11/12-rec COA 12/21-entire dossier rec'd by atty 12/22-subm for PA 1/23/08-agency says case in "grave jeopardy" 2/12-rec PA 2/15-FLOP-WHY  8/6-begged agency for atty to establish case w/CNA 8/13-agency says 'not likely' b/c we didn't VISIT ...new atty=new hope 10/13-new atty talks to CNA->We qualify for regularization  10/21-Confirmed COA from agency is not a COA. Never even filed 11/5-prior atty wants to "check" on us.Tells new atty he was never pd by agency! Agrees to give our file IF we release him of all liab  1/6/09-rec the real COA! Petition to be filed with CNA tomorrow!  2/10-'old' atty won't release our file...w/out PAYING a fee! So much for release of liability  2/16-Agree to pay file ransom 4/29-File FINALLY given to new atty 5/19-CNA officially approves us to begin adoption; accepts dossier NOW MORE HOOPS

I remember you as well. G will be 6 in April. I have been here a long time. I believe you have the wonderful story that I look foward to reading about Christmas Eve.
