We have Birth certificates!!!
Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!! After 17 months we finally caught a break and got BC's in one day. Now keep in mind we were stuck getting PA for 7 months so we have not just breezed through this whole process..
So here are my questions Do they issue appts for Thursday with visa p/up on Friday or only M, T, W.?? If she gets passports today what are your guesses on travel dates?? No DNA since we are abandonmnent. We still need physicals so?????? What do I need for the appt? Tax returns, pay stubs, etc.. ?? TIA !! Renee

Good for you that the light is at the end of the tunnel!!! Did you visit? The paperwork is different depending on whether or not you visited. The PINK email will have everything you need.

As far as I know, they do appts on MTW and F (visa pick up on Mon for Friday appts). No Thursday appts.
You are so close...congratulations!

4/9 adoption agency 6/21 referral 7/16 POA done 10/12 DNA approval & done 10/19 DNA match 12/3 received I 72: roadblock: In PGN no date 11/18 1st KO PGN: 11/29 Back In 12/15/07 2nd KO PGN::: 2/8/08 1st visit  2/12 registered with CA3/08 new POA done, new lawyer 3/29 2nd visit trip  4/10 PA finally received 4/21 into Family Court (never done)  5/20 out of Family Court  5/22 3rd visit trip for 1st birthday 7/9 Finally resubmitted to PGN  7/22 birthmom interview-no problems 8/12 3rd KO from PGN problem w/ original BC 8/22-8/26 4th trip to visit 11/3-11/7 5th trip to visit and get more info on case 2/8-2/14/09 6th trip. He's getting so big 3/2 Back into PGN  3/25 OUT of PGN. Thank God   5/28 Received BC from Sayachen, Peten 6/22 Pink received 7/1 Embassy appointment 7/2 Visa 7/3 On plane back to USA

Congratulations! So glad this part went fast for you. I was looking for the list of items that a friend got for PINK on an abandonment case but I can't find it. The items do include the DS-230 form, which I had difficulty finding but was given this link:
http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/81807.pdf (you will sign this with the USE officer) As another poster said, some forms depend on which type of visa the child is going to get (IR-3 or IR-4). What you do want to make sure of is that the USE has your I-171H and the current fingerprints. You should write to both of these addresses, with a subject line of "Verifying Cable 37": adoptguatemala@state.gov (Dept of State) Guatemala.Adoptions@dhs.gov (Dept of Homeland Security) Provide your child's birth name & new family name, petitioner's and spouse's names (with DOB for each), and case # if you have it. If they don't respond in a day or two, re-send the e-mail. I actually got a response within hours, confirming they did indeed have my current documents. Damaris

So good to hear that this final step went so smoothly for you! Let me know how it all goes, as we are currently waiting BC for an abandonment case. It is coming from Flores and we are in Guate City Renap now, so supposedly 2 weeks yet. Flores has been really willing to work with us, so far anyway.
