I wonder about this too...when they are both howling at the top of their lungs...I wonder what the heck our neighbors think. The worst part is one of our neighbors is my Aunt who always gives a full report to my Grandmother!! and the other is a circuit court judge!! Geeze...my relatives and the law within howling distance!!

those pictures are classic! love it. yeah...i have a tantrummer....it goes like this:


eli: mom, i want a donut.


me: eli, we are not getting donuts today.

eli: but i DDOOOOOOOO want a donut! I DOOOOO! (screaming ensues.)

me: eli....i never said you did not WANT a donut, i just said you were not GETTING a donut.

eli: more screaming (i guess he is not a fan of logic? lol.)

when he does it in the car, i just turn on the radio and sing....it makes him even madder that i apparently am "unphased" by his performance.....and eventually, he stops. i can't wait until he is 3! lol.

Well ladies....since my DD just turned 3 on November 9th, let me just tell you that yes, indeedy.....THREE IS WORSE! MUCH WORSE! Oh my gosh! People warned me and told me and I just did NOT believe! HOW could it POSSIBLY BE WORSE? But, IT IS!!!!!! Honestly, it used to just be the odd tantrum here and there maybe about Mom forgetting to buy orange juice and we had to have that ole nasty milk or we didn't have the Winnie the Pooh DVD in the car only the Mickey Mouse....you know....MAJOR STUFF like that but, now....oh my! NOW it's the itty bitty stuff.....like tonight as we were lying in bed going to sleep we were talking and happened to start singing "Jesus Loves Me" and she said she learned that in Vacation Bible School and I agreed and she starts crying that "vacation bible school missed me". I think she thought it had started again and she'd missed it! I tried to tell her that it wouldn't start again until next year and for sure she can go again if she wants to but, she started throwing this HUGE 30 minute tantrum and screaming over and over that "vacation bible school missed me". UUUUUUUUUUUUGH! Oh and don't EVEN try to TOUCH the hair in the mornings or don't you DARE ask her if she needs to go potty before her Higglytown Heros is over in the mornings! Talk about your primadonna! I'm tellin' ya girls.....the emotions and hormones are raging inside those little bitty bodies and brains at age 3! Some days it's downright hard to watch what they have to go through! I just hope this ole Momma makes it to age 4. Oh no! I just had a really awful thought! IS AGE FOUR EVEN WORSE!!!?????? Calgon! Take me awayyyyyyyy!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! May all our daughters have a peaceful day or at least not knock over the turkey during a tantrum!

Gabriella changes moods VERY quickly and can throw MAJOR tantrums. Sometimes, I find myself laughing at how upset she can become over something so small.

Ana is very even-tempered and, at 2 1/2 yo, we have yet to see a full scale tantrum.

J, at 15 1/2 months, on the other hand is a drama queen. She does the full body tantrum - kicking her feet, throwing her head down and then back up, big tears and twisting her hands together.

Love the pics on the blog - I especially love that she always has her tissue with her!

I have 3 children....my first (10) has yet to ever throw a tantrum. My second (6) would throw one occasionally. My third (almost 4), well, it was sometimes a couple a day. The good news is that 4 is a magic number and we are almost there. Hang in there...it does get better!!! Ali

Ya'll have made me feel so much better.....at least I know that if I am mom to a crazy nutso drama queen....I'm not the only one!! So I'll raise a glass of wine (or a bottle, depends on the day) to all of us and say..."good luck!"

Our 3 year old is the same way - she has been strong spirited since about 15 months...advice -sorry, don't have any, we just let her have her moment or put her in her room to have it there, that tends to make her stop more quickly.

My now 4yr old (MUCH better now) could throw a tantrum that would make your head spin. They lasted up to an hour sometimes, she would scream and yell at us about the silliest things "YOU WILL NOT BRUSH MY HAIR!" craziness.

My almost 2yr old throws tantrums and we giggle because they're nothing compared to what his sister could do.
