American Girl Bitty Twins

Does anyone have the bitty twins? I am toying with getting my daughter a set but since she is kind of picky about dolls. She has one doll that she kind of likes but it does not get played with a ton, but pretty good since my daughter runs more than plays. Anyway, I wanted to get her a baby that looks like her and had planned on the bitty baby but when she saw the twins on line she seemed to really like them and said it was her and her brother.

She is only two and they say three and up. Does anyone have these with younger kids?

My mom is getting the bitty twins for my daughter and my niece. One each so they will be split up. They are darling and I am sure they will love them and play with them a ton. Sophia has a different doll she have played with a lot and started at about 2.5. But it is a stange size and we can't find clothes that fit it and now she is really into changing clothes etc so I think she will be in love with her twin. We like the twins better then the bitty baby because the twins have hair and sophia will enjoy working with the hair.

Kate has a bitty baby and I LOVE the american girl stuff. I was going to get the twins, but I am trying to pace myself!! ha ha We have bought the bitty high chair, crib, etc.
I think we might get the twins for her B-day or Christmas in the next year or so.
Even though I like bitty the best she plays with a different doll more. The one she likes is the baby alive go bye bye with a little carseat. It coos and makes noises and she really likes it. There is even a hispanic one.
Happy shopping Hannah!

See, Sophia also showed a little interest in baby alive and I thought about getting it because I thought she would like it even more when it did it's thing. It is way cheaper so if she didn't like it not such a big deal.

Do you think the twins are too big for a two year old? I want her to have at least one Hispanic doll but since my babies don't look like me I don't plan on all her babies looking like her either.

Hannah... Bug (who is 3) plays with the hispanic bitty baby that my 16 year old chose as a 2 year old... it is just the right size for her. We bought the Bitty Twins for her in Chicago this past summer... they are hardly ever played with as they just seem so much bigger and more "toddler" like than baby like. They don't really look like they should take a bottle or get carried around in the carrier, etc...

So, my vote would be to get the Bitty Baby first and save the Bitty Twins for a little bit older.

Someone bought DD bitty baby when she first came home. She played with it a little when she first came home but not much. Mostly just to try taking off the clothes or to carry it around. She was about 15 months then. She'll be 3 in February and she plays with bitty baby alot now. I'm dying to buy her a Just Like Me doll for Christmas but am holding off. I know she'll love the cell phone and purse that comes with the doll b/c she's really into carrying a purse right now. It's just soooooo expensive. I'm hesitating because I think with Christmas it will get lost in the shuffle of all the other toys she'll get. Plus everyone says the hair gets really messy after a while. I just love all the clothes, too. This is going to get really expensive!
