A friend of mine just called and said that PGN has LOST their file.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening??
if so, did they 'find' it? or what happened??

UGH! this poor family has been through torture with this adoption and now THIS!

Mine was supposedly lost for a while. I was told at the end of August that it was ready for signature and 2 months later was told it couldn't be found. I don't know exactly what that meant. I think it went back to a reviewer and they had to look for it. Anyway, it was found, I got a previo and now I am back in.

OH my goodness......unbelievable!! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised by the things 'ol PGN can do.....but sometimes they still shock me! Hoping they "find" it quick!

Yes, I've heard of it. One of our files was supposedly lost, then found. I believe it is sometimes a ploy to extract more money from someone. Never works in the case of our contact, so eventually they remember who they're dealing with and give up trying to wait on a bribe. Some of the things people are told are also part of the "game". In view of the huge sums of money that adoptions have made possible to so many in the process, much of what people are told is open for debate. Hoping this is the case and that it is "miraculously found" very soon.

They lost my file after everything was approved and was just waiting for my pink, they lost the paperwork after it came back from the second DNA being done. It was signed for but no PINK ever came and I should of recieved it right before Christmas of 07. Our agency told me that there was nothing that they could do and that I would have to rely on our congressmen (that was a joke) but through great persistance from my DH, we received PINK 5 weeks later. Now here we are and have had him home for 10 months (where has the time gone).

Tell her to hang in there and if it comes down to it, contact your congressmen.

did PGN tell them the file was lost, or did the attorney? I heard this so many times I couldn't count, and it turned out my file was never even in PGN, just a lie the attorney was telling.
