Our DD had her 2nd DNA done yesterday. YAY! Now, is there a way to track where the sample is--if it's left GC, etc.? The lab doing the analysis is LabCorp and I know Libby is on the NC side but I don't know if she'll have time to respond to questions with Pat out on medical leave. Do they have a website where you can track this by using perhaps the # on the credit card charge? I'm sure the results won't be back at the USE before Thanksgiving but I wanted to see how close we are to that point next week. Thanks.

Historically, no. If you let Libby know it's coming she'll email you when it gets there (or at least that's what Pat did) and she'll update you as the tests progress and when it is getting notarized and when it ships out. She'll include a fedex tracking when it heads back to the USE, but as far as I know you can't track the sample from Guate to the US.

Congrats!! I'm sure it's hard to believe you're finally at this point, but you'll start getting news hopefully by Monday that it's there and started.

No, I do not know, because our agency used a different lab.My guess is that the DNA should be at LabCorp no later than the 11/24, and results completed by 11/28, then sent back to Guat and received in Guat no later than 12/2. Tip....When you know that the DNA is at the embassy, give them a call and they will give you an apt on the same day that you call for the following week. You can also ask them for a specific date if you need one, and if they can, they usually will give you the day you request.
