Unhappy So heartbreaking!

I know of a woman in Guatemala who just had a baby on Saturday. She does not want to raise the baby (husband is gone, maybe dead). She gave the baby to another woman and is leaving town tomorrow. I heard about this and I wrote Guatadopt and asked for help. They were so helpful, and got the women in touch with in-country people. But, the bottom line is the baby must enter the CNA and the baby goes to an orphange.

That is so sad. There are so many loving families that would love to raise that child. But here she is, a 3 day old, with no where to go.

I just can't understand why all of this is so difficult. It just makes me cry. Please don't ask me for any specific details, as I can't say much. I really just wanted to vent about the sadness I feel for this little child.

What is even worse, is this is happening every day, to so many innocent children.

That breaks my heart. That was great that you got in touch with Guatadopt and had the ball rolling for this poor woman. You did a good thing. So sad that the system there doen't have everything in place.

Unfortunately this is happening more than we know! My heart breaks for these children as well! In May I held a little boy who was abandoned on the roadside!! No one knew him! I cried many tears over this as I held this perfect baby in my arms!! We all have to pray for those children left behind and do what we can to help them!

This makes me so sad. It is happening all of the time. Our youngest son's birthmother just had another baby and she wanted to place the child for adoption with us, but couldn't. We would have loved to bring the baby into our family. So far she has chosen to parent so that is great, but I worry everyday about her.
It is all too sad for these children who are stuck in the middle of a political mess.

it's just sick. I hate how they make this system ridicules and the ones who suffer are sweet helpless babies who NEED a loving home. I don't understand, it is not a matter of want but a matter of NEED!

Unhappy

It is so sad. My friend who owns an adoption agency told me last week she doubts very much that Guatamala will open you again. I was sad for her as she worked her tushy off to get Hague accredited and said you have to wait 2+ years for China now. Guess if we decide to adopt again it will be domestic again. Always wanted my Guatamala baby. We were going to orginally adopt from Guatamala but they closed that was almost six years ago but opened up again but by that time had already adopted domestically.
My heart aches for the families who have to give them up and the childern with no families to tuck them in at night and read them stories.

There are so many children all over the world who need good homes, but politics is always the culprit in keeping these precious angels from having a great life!

This is so sad, but it is because of greed and corruption that caused these adoption to stop. If there weren't so many money hungry and unethical lawyers and facillitators having a field day treat babies like they were highly coveted good, adoptions would still be going in Guatemala.
Hopefully they will have a more honest ethical system in place and adoptions will open again.

I'm thankful you stepped out and helped this woman and the child. But my heart just ACHES to think that for the one helped, there are thousands that aren't...and even then, still no forever families for these children.
