We mailed our G884 at the post office on 9/24/08 (regular mail, no special handling). We sent it to Buffalo since DD came home on an IR3. We rec'd confirmation letter ~ 7-10 days later. Our packet arrived at our door (we had to sign for it) on 10/24/08. Wow, back in a month, I'm impressed!

Great! I just sent mine in 10/2/08 and received an email with a tracking number that they sent the package back to me on 10/23! It didn't come today, but I expect anytime now.

We just got ours back today!! Less than a month since we sent it in on 10/02.

I was so happy to learn Isabella's birth weight and time of birth! Plus there was another priceless picture of her birth mother!

You can file the G884 now.

If you do, after you complete the readoption and you file the N600 to get her COC, you will need to include all the documentation with it. If they (USCIS) still had they packet, they would be able to pull some of the documentation from that. That said, it is only a few photocopies you would have to make, and to me it makes more sense to include everything and anything they need with the N600 so the processing is not delayed while they hunt up the packet, transfer it, etc.
