Question Marriott questions

For those of you who have recently stayed at the Marriott, I have two questions for you.

1. Did you bring your own crib sheet to use with their cirb?

2. A while back some people complained that the overall attitude toward adoptive familes had changed and not for the better. Supposedly you could not take your children into the hotel restaurants that served alcohol, which was pretty much all of them. What is the Marriott's recent overall attitude been toward adoptive families?

Thanks
T.

My Two Cents

Their crib sheets are fine (just larger folded sheets. They change them daily and "make" the crib... It's so cute! I did bring my kids own blankets.

I just stayed at the marriott with my daughters for a visit trip and the staff was the same as always, Wonderful! We however didn't spend a lot of time in the lobby and I made sure the girls were quite when we even walked through.... just to be on the safe side. My girls were treated like princess.
I did get to meet one set of the parents that was there for a pick-up trip did say that they were asked if they would mind taking thier group (at pick-up with foster mom and family) to their room or the family room on the 3rd floor. There were tons of business people in the lobby lounge at a meeting and for the familys emotional privacy the manager asked them to go up stairs... The Family said No Problem and stayed upstairs in the family room for hours... they all even ordered room service!

Do, ask for a room on the 3rd floor! with a toddler it is great to be near the family room... you can use a high chair, make snacks (microwave) watch TV, play (they have a few toys) use the computer and just hang out with (Hopefully) other parents!

Have a Wonderful Pick up trip. Safe travels!!

I just stayed at the Marriott in September for my pick up and it was wonderful! My mom was with me and we ate almost every meal at the hotel resturants and had absolutely no problems. Every one was very friendly and helpful. I did not spend much time in the lobby though. To be honest though, my daughter looks a lot like me. Everyone always thinks I am hispanic but Im not. ( Ive always gotten asked this) but there were several adoptive parents with their children there and everything seemed to be going great with them also. I have stayed at the Marriott a few times and everytime was wonderful.

I did use their sheets on the baby bed, like the above poster said, they came in and made the bed up everyday. It was very nice. I would highly recommend the Marriott to anyone. I hope you have a wonderful trip, enjoy every second!

I was just there for a visit and everything was great. I suggest taking a small screwdriver and some C batteries (I think) to but in the toys in the family room. The toys were useless because they needed batteries. Everyone will thank you.
