Walmart in GC??
Does anyone know if there are any Walmarts in GC? I asked our fm (but heaven knows my spanish is not so great!) and she said "no"...but I thought I'd read here about people using them down there. Thanks in advance...

There is store (or several of them) called Paiz....I heard it described as being owned by Walmart. They even have SuperPaiz...

Hiper Paiz
For your shopping needs, Hiper Paiz is the place. It is a short cab ride from Zona Viva in Guatemala City. However, I'm not sure about wiring money to them. We've always used a bank in GC.
There are several options for getting money to Guatemala depending on your needs.
