How long does the USE apt take?
Our's it at 7:15am and we are #11. What time do you think we will be out of there?
I am going to have a driver pick us up at the hotel afterwards so I need to give him an "about" time. Thanks! Julia

a few hours.. even on a quick day. IT sort of drones on.
IF I were you I would call the driver when you get back to the hotel... or if you use Victor...he will just chill with you there and help with everything...answer your every question... and then you needn't worry about calling a driver... he will be right there! Tricia

That is exactly what mine was a couple weeks ago. 7:15 and #11. I was there right at 2 hours. I am so glad you are going to get your precious baby!

We've had 2 appointments both 7ish like yours. We were always back at the Marriott in time to still have the breakfast buffet, which I think ends around 10:30.

We were 7:15 am and #14 and were there over 4 hours but it was a bad bad day. Really understaffed. But you never know what you'll get, so I agree to give them an "about 2-3 hours" and try to get a cell phone or something.

I'd estimate on the higher side and say 3 hours, unless things have gotten a lot faster in the past months. For our second ds we were #1, and we were still there more than 2 hours.

Hi Julia,
We were number 3 a couple of weeks ago and we were only there for about an hour and a half. We would have been done more quickly but we were waiting with another mom who had some problems. I think that because of the adoption situation fewer people are at the embassy and things go a bit quicker. I have been thinking of you and your beautiful daughter. I wish you the best of luck and enjoy every moment with Kya. I am loving this time and our wonderful son, adoption is really a miracle! I was there a couple of months ago with a similar number and it took us 3-4 hours....and then you feel strangely like celebrating & very tired too.
So maybe driver should come in afternoon vs. right after appt.
