Crib Tent
Has anyone used a crib tent? Just wandering if it worked and if you liked it. My 2 2 yr olds have started climbing out of their cribs. I put them in a big bed but they won't stay in it. It was after midnight when they finally fell asleep last night and they were up before 7am this morning. Needless to say, they are extremely grumpy (and so is mommy) this morning. We cant keep doing this. Any advice is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, Natalie

Yes, yes YES!!! It saved me big time!!! My older daughter climbed out a little after two and would NOT sleep anywhere else but the crib...after 3 sleepless nights, I got the tent from One Step Ahead. She was safe and happy, I could sleep knowing she was safe and she stayed in her crib until almost 4 years old (we did try the big girl bed several times along the way but each time failed and back into the crib with tent she went). With my second DD I just got one and put it on preemptively when she turned one. The only thing is that you cannot use them with cribs where one long side is higher than the other. They did not make changing the sheets harder...the crib side still went up and down fine with it on, I could unzip it fine, but my child couldn't. I am hanging on to mine just in case there is ever a baby #3...or for grandchildren, I loved it that much!

I have to start by saying your post made me laugh! I read it as "My 22yr old is climing out of the crib"..... Heck my 22yr. old left our crib...hehehe
I never used a tent but a friend of mine did and she LOVED it! Her daughter called it going camping instead of going to bed... worked great for a couple years! Best of luck, happy sleeping!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We used one with Alec and now Mikayla has one. There is NO WAY I would feel comfortable putting her in a big girl bed at this age, she is not ready at all. She loves her crib tent and so did Alec. Alec even CRIED when we got rid of it:-) He transitioned out of the crib at 3.5! He was just happy in there and it didn't bother me one bit! He went from crib one day to bed the next and we never, ever had a problem with it. Love crib tents.

You will NEVER regret getting one!!
Jacob started trying to climb out within ONE WEEK of him coming home - at age 9 months!! I bought one immediately and were so glad that we did! I think anything that helps us all sleep is worth it! Go get one! ![]()

THanks for the replies. I ordered 2 crib tents last night. I even payed the expidited shipping. They cannot get here fast enough.
P.S. Maggie slept on the floor right by her bedroom door last night. She would NOT stay in her crib. LOL Thanks, Natalie

I had never used one before but someone gave us one before we brought our son home. He is 'Mommy's Little Trainwreck' and it has saved my sanity and many ER trips! He is 2.5 but is at the 80% on the American charts. His size and strength far outstrip his ability to understand and stay in bed. This is a LIFESAVER!!!

YES! Best invention ever. Mia stayed in her crib until just a few weeks ago thanks to the crib tent. She used it for almost a year and never complained once about it. She loved hers. We had a "crib tent party" and she watched us set it up and we made a big deal over how it would be so great for her to have her own tent
