Cases without BMI?
Just wondering if anyone else had there FM have a "meeting" with PGN. Our FM and baby had a psych evaluation done. The baby did get to stay with our FM, but we know of others that were taken to a hogar. Has anyone heard from their attorney about what is going on with the cases that are left? Just curious if your attorney is updating you more than ours. We don't know where our file is at right now. Our attorney said he was waiting to hear from Family court. Not sure what that means and trying to ask is a huge hurdle.

THANK GOD! 5/18/09 back to PGN for final approval-NO WAIT still in Minors 8th Visit 6/27/09-7/5/09

Yes, we are in the same boat. FM and baby had evaluations and PGN sent a social worker to the FM's house for an inspection. The FM appeared before the family court judge and they approved her to continue fostering.
The judge then gave them two weeks bring forth three things- report from social workers visit to FM, our case/file from PGN and a new pediatric medical eval with HIV, hep, etc...re-testing results. Yesterday our family advocate said that the judge should make a decision this week on whether or not to approve our adoption. However, he later called and said that PGN sent our case/file to the WRONG court and WRONG judge!! ughhh! so now they are trying to locate our file and get it to the correct judge. I think he also mentioned that Family Court had given PGN until Oct 10th to release files for those with missing birthmom. He said that he was told yesterday that if the judge approves, then the adoption moves forward without having to go back to PGN. We hope this is true so our cases can continue moving without getting caught up in PGN again. Please keep me posted if you hear anything b/c there seems to be fewer of us left that didn't have the BMI and are still in limbo. Good luck!

Timeline: July 20, 2007- birthday! August 28, 2007- received pictures! December 17-21, 2007- 1st Visit Trip January 17, 2008- DNA taken January 31, 2008- DNA Results- its a match! March 7, 2008- Pre- Approval from the Embassy March 13, 2008- Submitted to PGN March 31-April 4, 2008- 2nd Visit Trip May 23, 2008- birthmom interview scheduled- birthmom has moved to another country! As rough as my journey was, it was nothing compared to this. Your situations are tragic...and so unfair. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you find the strength you need to get through this ordeal.
