stocking kit
Last year I went to craft store and bought one of those stocking kits with the sequins and snowman. I took DH and myself about 3 weeks to complete it but it is so cute and made with so much love. My mother made me one, so I had to do the same for DD.

Last year I saw a really cute idea, if you're crafty. Stockings made out of old blue jeans. They used the part with the pocket and tucked little treasures in there. They were embellished with lace, ribbon and sequines for girls and less feminine for little guys. They were really cute! I'm not sure where I saw them but you might google blue jean stockings and see what you get.

Have you thought about talking with someone who who could make one for you and you could give them your ideas? Then it could also be one of a kind.
My mother did this when i was young for my stocking as a child
