I love watching Adoption Stories. Yesterday I looked for an episode that our kids could relate to. I didn't have one DVR'd on Guatemala but there was one on a 3 year old little boy being adopted from India. So I turned it on for my 4 and 2 year old. Our four year old started asking questions, like "Do you have a picture of where I slept in Guatemala?" We brought out the baby books and saw the pics we did have of him in Guatemala. Then he started pretending about his foster mother, that he saw her, that she left him...It gave us a good chance to talk about his history, about his brother's history, about his foster mother, and about how our family is his forever family. He loves to play, "I'm your baby, I'm in Guatemala, its time for you to come and get me," but this was the first time he had explored his life prior to our knowing him.

I wondered if you had any similar experiences? What questions do your kids ask about adoption?
