I have taken it before and so has my daughter...we drank lots of water and really had no side effects other than once when my daughter developed a yeast infection and it was from taking the Bactrim so long...

I was put on Bactrim last month and had terrible side effects from it. I developed large red painful hives up and down my arms and I had shortness of breath and terrible chest pains. My doctor immediately took me off of it. It is now on my charts as a medication I cannot take.
