On 9/13/08 we had our social worker come and do a post placement report for our readoption. DH and I live in New York. She was supposed to be at the house at 1 p.m. She called at noon and indicated she wouldn't be at the house until 2 p.m. We were leaving for North Carolina the same day. Luckily we were driving. I am glad that the post placement report is done. It is final step towards the readoption of our son and daughter. Now it is just sit and wait to find out when our court date is for our readoption finalization.

On another note, our son will be home with us a year on 10/25/08. I can't believe that it is almost a year already and daughter will be home a year 12/11/08.

Will let you know when court date is. One of my coworkers & his wife (did domestic adoption) started their readoption in february and finalized in June 2008. Coworker indicated it takes about a month from date of post placement report to get court date. I am hoping the middle of october. But will post when date is. Once that is done, we can finally do paperwork for the kids US citizenship.
