If a hogar with children who are not being adopted can be raided by PGN, is there a hogar that is safe? This really has turned from protecting children to a witch hunt.

The situation is so totally sad. Vicki has become part of our support network (the Semillas families) and I know that she is devastated by what has happened. They just held a funeral for a little 3 year old that was brought into them weighting only 8 lbs., they cared for her and loved her for the past 4 months. They did not need a raid on top of that sorrow. The news article has incorrect information but isn't that the norm for Prensa Libra.

If I read it carefully it says a few times that it is assumed that that children were to be given to adoptions, not that they are involved in adoptions. It also states that they heard sounds and received reports that the children has been possible abused or mishandled. Maybe they are on a witch hunt or are following up on leads that think are real.

Things have been happening for alittle while at the hogar. They have been inspected and told that fruits and vegetables are for pigs not children. That their bedspreads should match. I believe that they have done a total of two adoptions in 5 years.

They have been at the hogar trying to get some children to say that they were being sold for sex.

Please understand that this is a hogar that takes in kids who have been removed from their homes via the court. They are injured children who are being injured further.

I visited this hogar in May with my family and we had the opportunity to visit with the children and play with them fo quite a while! I never got the feeling that they abused and the workers really seemed to care about the children. I have had the opportunity to talk to Vicki on the phone today since I was going to help them this coming week. She's very upset about what has happened but does not plan to give up!! She plans to fight this tooth and nail so please keep them in your prayers!!
I met some of the children and heard the stories of how they arrived and to me the hogar was the best place for them to be at the time. They had food for the chidlren and they all appeared healthy! They were not overcrowded or anything either!! I'm truly very sad to hear this news and this goes to prove that the government is truly NOT thinking of the children!!
