OK...enough.

Let's post something we are looking forward to in the upcoming month or so that is NOT election related

For me, I am looking forward to FALL. I live in Ohio and fall is just the BEST time of year...I love it. I am all about my pumpkin spice candles and baked apple crisp. Plus...our Guat group has another get together coming up and I can't wait!!!!!!!!

My daughter's 2nd birthday and the anniversary of our 1st year together, both in October.

I love fall!

Yay!!!! Birthdays!! Always so much fun! So is forever family day. We had a bunch of family up for ours last year.

My favorite season!! Usually the first think on the list is football - but my hometown team's QB is already gone for the year (sniff sniff for Tom Brady) and things are not likely to turn out well for them. So I will focus on the rest of the best:

Super yummy apples and apple picking with friends and family

Playing in piles of leaves with DS

Our 15th Wedding Anniversary

Not having to see myself in a swimsuit anymore - LOL!

hm...off the top of my head, our pickup next week! And leaf-collecting walks with the kids, those first few days of fall weather, Starbucks hot apple cider, not having to feel guilty about the rediculous state of my gardens, and DH not wanting to go to his moms every other minute to go swimming (she lives on a lake...we don't).

Oh I just have to add BONFIRES!!! We have a fire pit and DH and I will light it up at night, once the kids are in bed, and talk and sometimes roast marshmellows. We do include Alec sometimes, but it's so nice to sit by the fire on a chilly fall night and smell the wood burning and just have nice adult conversation with my DH without a TV on, or a child interrupting, or having to check e-mail. I love it! Can't wait!

Mimi, who is almost 2 1/2 has slept FIVE. WHOLE. NIGHTS. in the big girl bed. And that child lays down, says "nigh nigh Mama" and rolls over - then sleeps until 9 a.m. The hubby and I are ready to bust out the champagne.

NONE of our bio kids transitioned this easily - and to top it off, Mimi had the WORST sleeping issues for months and months when she came home. Brutal sleep deprivation for everyone and now she's like "I seepy - I go nigh nigh big girl bed." WAHOO!

We are looking forward to celebrating our first family day in Oct. I cannot believe it has been a year and at the same time she seems like she has always been with us!! Oh My we love her soooooo very much!!

Love Halloween, the cool, crisp air, leaves crunching under your feet, the smell of the trees, soups and chilis, apple pies, apple cobbler, fried apples, fresh apples, caramel apples, baked apples, ...just any ole apple! haha! I love the fall too! I'm sick of hot and steamy! I'm ready to be able to breathe outside again!

OH I second everything you said. Don't throw those fall apples at me but I don't really like summer. My favorite time of the year is the crisp, fall weather. LOVE IT and wish it was here longer:-( I hate the heat. My mom is forever calling me to tell me to get the kids out of the house and I never want to because I hate hot. I could NOT live in a "hot state."

Fun thread! Well I am looking forward to Halloween! I love it! I am looking forward to Village Venture (a huge local artisan fair that has great stuff) I go every year with a group of girlfriends, I am also looking forward to a day trip to Oak Glen (local apple orchards at the foot of the mountains). It is such a fun day.

omg..i love oak glen...there is NOTHING like a fresh apple crisp and some fresh cider....we went every year....we'd get a whole pie and a bunch of forks and just sit in the park. love it!!!!! i guess this year i'm looking forward to actually experiencing autumn....instead of 2 cool days between summer and fake california winter. lol.

i'm also looking forward to mindy clearing out her pm box so i can send my message. hint hint.

i have been spending more time in the kitch cooking, which i love. the boys get the benefits of that too! soup season is my favorite.

Fall is my FAVORITE season. I love the weather when I can wear shorts and a sweatshirt - I don't know what it is about that - but I love it.

Fall means FOOTBALL!!!! My favorite sport ever!! (and I won my first Fantasy Football game this week!)

I also hate going outside with Alex when it's hot, so I'm looking forward to more time at the park.

I think Alex will actually get Halloween this year, so I'm looking forward to his first trip to the pumpkin patch.

We will also be celebrating our 2nd Forever Family Day - how did that happen????

Guatoberfest - 'nuf said - for those of you who didn't go last year but are this year - get ready - it's tons of fun

Vacation - We go to Sanibel Island every year at Thanksgiving with my extended family. Alex had a great time last year, but I think this year is going to be even better.
