Westin Shuttle?
I'll be landing in GC on Sunday at 9pm. I've never stayed at the Westin, which is where I'll be next week. Does anyone know if I have to call ahead of time to tell them we'll need the shuttle?

We were just there a week ago - we called ahead to confirm what time the shuttles would be there, I think the shuttle comes 10 and 40 after the hour. I would call and let them know - they will have your name on a list and be ready for you.

Yeah Lisa, I would call as well. We never took the shuttle both times we stayed at the Westin. I just preferred to have someone waiting for us. You can always use Victor. He charged us $15 to pick us up and take us to the hotel. He is wonderful and will give you all sorts of tips. He can also take you on tours of Antigua and GC. PM me if you need his info! Enjoy your time at the Westin and say "Hola" to Julio and Oscar out by the pool. They're the waiters out there and work their tails off!!

If you can, go eat at Cacao...was the BEST food I had in Guatemala and its a beautiful little restuarant with wonderful service a 1/2 block from the Westin.

Well, it has been over a year, but on all 4 of my trips to Guatemala in 2007, the Westin shuttle always arrived promptly (even when I was arriving in the middle of the night). I never called ahead.
And ditto to Kim! Also, if you are lucky enough to have Shakespeare as your waiter at the cafe there, he is WONDERFUL!!!
