Spirit - Fort laud. to GC
Anyone ever take this route? i am flying out for a visit trip tomorrow and not only scared of Gustav interfering, but also my connection. I am flying in to FL on USair and then have to connect for the international flight. IS two hours enough? Yikes! If I get there tomorrow then it will be a small miracle...
Any experience would be great good or bad so that I can be prepared of what I am dealing with. Thanks - Scott |

It was a year ago, but we flew in to FLL on United and had to switch to Spirit to go to GC. We had no problems whatsoever.
If memory serves, you'll have to claim your luggage and re-check it at the Spirit desk. For us, 2 hours was MORE than enough time. Good luck! Kris PS You'll hear mixed reviews on Spirit, we thought they were just fine.

I flew them 3 times and every thing went well each time. We had to re-check the luggage and sometimes the lines are kind of long, but 2 hours was plenty of time. Have a wonderful trip!!

We've flown Spirit Air from Ft. Lauderdate to Guatemala City 5 times with no problems. We love their great prices, newer and cleaner planes, and friendly employees.
