Hello All-
Well we have been in Guatemala since Sunday afternoon and all is well. We met
our daughter Sunday afternoon, which was a very difficult time for all of us.
The foster family had a hard time saying good bye to her - many, many tears from
the foster Mother. We can tell that our daughter was very much loved and cared
for . Our daughter had a very hard time adjusting after the foster mom left; she
cried for at least 90 minutes. She did get use to us and Grandma made a break
through and had her laughing and smiling. She slept thru the night, with us of
course, the first 2 nights, tonight we are trying her in the crib so she will be
ready when we get home to share a room with her big brother. Casey is very
excited for that. The foster Mom called each day to see how baby was doing and
even came to hotel today with her daughter to see her one more time before we
leave tomorrow. More tears were shed, but she adjusted just fine when they left.
She is a very content baby. Her and Emery are playing and getting along. They
look at each other, reaching out for each other and really just figuring out
each other - they are fun to watch.
All went well at the Embassy too.
Name---well, it took us until today, Tuesday - she is 9 months old to name her.
We are so up and down with naming our kids.
Her Guatemalan name was Gladis Etelvina
Her forever name is Vivian Mae Etelvina V.A.
We miss our 2 kiddos at home and can't wait to get home tomorrow and see them.
Thank you all of you who helped with the kids and the dog - we really appreciate
having great friends and family.

Thank you all. We are back at home and the girls, our two 9 month olds, did great on the plane ride home - a few tears, but overall good. We arrived home to a large family greeting us, which was so wonderful and something we truly appreciate. Vivian is sharing a room with our son and she has slept thru the night and still asleep!! Yeah! Today with be abg day as we have to go visit our son's school and meet his teacher, so Vivian will experience her first school trip. We are so excited to be home with all of our kids. We will post some photos soon.
