Airlines with adoption rates?

Does anyone know if any airline does adoption rates?

I check with Contin. and they said they don't unless your agency has a contract with them - ours doesn't.

Thank you -
Kristie

Delta used to but it has been ages since I checked so I don't know if they still do. Honestly, I found that working through and excellent travel agent I could do much better than the adoption fare.

Happy planning!

I think Delta may be the only airline that offers it. But, it is usually just a percentage (maybe 10?) off the regular FULL fare. Not worth it. You can do better byy sirfung travel websties or through a good travel agent. Try Trent at Velocity Tours if you don't want to keep looking on-line yourself.

Northwest does, I believe, but I don't know if it goes to Guatemala.

However, I agree with DeeVee. The adoption fare is based on a percentage of the "regular" full fare, not the fare you see discounted on the Internet. So it is often higher than the fares you find on-line.

The one ADVANTAGE to the adoption fare is that it may be "unrestricted" or at least partially unrestricted. By this, I mean that, if you buy cheap tickets on the Internet, they often come with restrictions concerning cancellations or changes. You might have to pay a fairly hefty penalty, for example, if a glitch happens and you have to postpone your pickup trip for a couple of weeks because of a paperwork problem. SOME, though not all, adoption fares allow changes or cancellations with low or no penalties.
