Adopting a Hogar
Has anyone out there "adopted" a hogar? Our church would like to undertake an effort to support a hogar in Guatemala and I would be interested in any information about that possibility.

THey also offer the opportunity to sponsor a hogar.

 DOB Dec 10 '02referral Jan '03 lots of lies, complicated case, abandonment received April '07. Family Court Jan 17 '08 ( gotcha day #3, we are fostering since '05) Filed for PA Dec 18 '07 Received PA Feb 18 '08 PGN Feb 29 '08: Kicked out 4/8 Back in PGN 6/4 kicked out 7/22 back in 7/30 OUT! 8/20  embassy 1/12/09  DOB Feb 24 '04accepted referral March '04 while on visit trip w/ DS #1 ( same agency, we were Naive  )Started fostering Jan '05 Aug '05 found out DS #2 adoption was never started. Lawyer promised to reform, got through family court, birth mom disappeared and more lies... Lawyer fired and new one hired. Abandonment granted Jan 30 '08.  Received abandonment decree March 18 '08 Praise the Lord!Oct '09 Adoption approved by family court!   DOB Jan 2 '06 in our arms Jan 3 '06Adoption complete April '07

I pmd you about my agency who sponsors its own orphanage and without any more adoptions taking place they definitely could use the help for the babies waiting to be adopted and the orphans with no other place to go.
