Oh Yeah! I leave for Guatemala on September 7th and return September 13th. Not a long trip, but one that I am looking forward to.

I hope we do it on Oct. 4th because I just remembered that I am out of town September 26th - 28th.

Oct 4th is great for us! The zoo has a playground area for the kids to play in, where we can all sit and talk after seeing the sights.

Did anyone have a time preference? Any lunch plans, either before or afterwards? Lots of great eating places nearby. If anyone would like to shop, Columbiana Mall has a food court with a large carousel. Or there is another small mall very close to the zoo with a Lizard's Thicket and a Chic-fil-a nearby. I think there might be a picnic area outside the zoo, too, if anyone is interested in eating there. Food inside the zoo is rather expensive, of course.

I think there is a burger king in there we always eat at and I did not think it was to expensive. How about 10 or 10:30 am? that way we can visit a little and wlk around before lunch. is this to early? It will take us an 1 1/2 hr. to get there. I am sure it will take longer for a few of you. We also need to where the same color tops so we can find each other easier but of course we can meet at the enterance and then we can set a time to where to eat so we have others to find us that come later. Does that sound good?

There is a website that carries Guat mom shirts that are adorable. I had a Guat Mom visit me and she was wearing one. I haven't purchased one yet but plan to. I don't know if I can post the name of the site or not??? But I believe they refer to it on Kevin's quatadopt forum.

I will gladly PM the name of the website to anyone that wants it.

They also carry ( guat dads, nana, papa, gma, gpa...shirts) sorry to make that sound specific to Mom's! ( forgive me Bob)

Thanks for the suggestion slaton10. That is a cute shirt. I have to many to buy shirts for there are 7 of us. But most of us do have shirts that we bought in Guatemala that say Guatemala. SO we can where them. Our girls have dresses we bought for them in Guatemala too. So that would be neat if we all could where something like that. Anyone else have t-shirts they bought in Guatemala?
