Hi, my name is Maura and hubby is Jay. We adopted our twin daughters from Guatemala in September 2006. They were about 7 1/2 months old when they came home. We are currently living in the Maine/NH area. Jay is active duty Navy (just had his 17th anniversary!). I am sort of a SAHM, I am a Tastefully Simple Independent Consultant so I work SOMETIMES.
We were living in Hawaii when the girls came home .... moved after they were with us for 2 months.

We brought our DD home 2 1/2 years ago from Guatemala at 14 1/2 mos. old and are waiting on our travel call to bring our DS home from Vietnam. We also have a married DD (23), a DS (19) and a DD (12). I am a bookkeeper at an Elementary School & DH is a Student Minister.

I'm Debbie and my husband Roger and I have a bio son, Alec, who is almost 10 and we adopted Lauren, now 4.5 in 2004 (11 months at homecoming) and Daniel, now 5 in 2005 (20 months at homecoming) from Guatemala.

My husband is an engineer with Ford Motor Company and I have been a SAHM since Lauren and Daniel came home. Prior to that we co-owned a coffee shop so I worked pretty much full time with that. And I was in retail management before the birth of my bio son.

My DH and I live in SW Indiana. We have four bio kids:
DS 27 who is married, DD 24 who is married and expecting our first grand child , DS 22 not married.......thank the Lord!, DD 16, then we have our first Guatemalan ball of fire Maria who came home in 2004 at 9 mos and we're waiting for Nola who is almost 11mos. I have my own business. I have an orthodontic lab in my basement so I can work at home (wonderful!). My husband lost his job of 29 years with a pharmaceutical company just one week after we accepted our referral of Nola and is still unemployed.

I'm Julie, DH is Dan and our children are Elisabeth (Libby) - 33 months (home at 10 1/2 months) and Derek - 11 months (home at almost 8 months) from Guatemala. I am a Spanish teacher & DH is an Revenue Agent for the federal government. We live in Western NYS and love our NY Yankees!

I am Mindy and I am 29 years old. I have been married for 7 years to my hubby Kris. I am a SAHM and full-time student and I graduate this coming Spring with my degree in Early Childhood Education/Special Education grades pre-k-3rd. My DH is a cop. We have one biological son, Alec, who was born August 30th, 2002. After struggling with secondary infertility we decided to adopt from Guatemala in the Spring of 2006. Mikayla, our Guatemalan Princess, was born June 17th 2006 and came home in January of 2007 at 7 months old.

I have been a member of this forum since the day we decided to adopt and while in process I created a Guatemalan Group of parents and children here in Ohio:-)

I still hang around on here quite a bit but not as much as I used to while we were in process.

well, it is lovely to meet you all ... glad to get the "back story" on most of us .... we, like Mindy, joined this forum when we decided to adopt from Guatemala ... without this group , I am not sure I would have survived the process and that which follows (2 2 1/2 year olds )

I am one of the old timers around here. I am Diane, hubby is Jim and we have four kiddies-our boys are 17, 13, and 10 and Annie is 5. She came home from Guatemala in 2003 at 8 months of age. We were involved in the Hague mess of 2003.

I was a social worker who stopped working when Annie came home and hubby owns his own business.

Hi My name is Rose and DH is Lenny. DH is a Director of World Wide Financial Planner Analysis and I am an Independant Partylite consultant and also sell girls clothing on Ebay (my SAH job). We adopted DD from Guatemala 14 months ago. DD will be 2 in September. I also signed up on the forum for support during our adoption process. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
