I have tickets on hold. DH, Anne Pearce, and I are planning to head to GC on August 22. Our DNA SHOULD get to the lab my this Monday or Tuesday. Are we safe in thinking that our appt. will be the week of the 25th?? DH says he will go to the Embassy to ask for an earlier appt. if it looks like we will be stuck there for too long..... I know there are no guarantees, but I'm hoping and praying we're doing the right thing.... The tickets from our area are almost sold out already. If I don't book now we'll be out of luck. HELP! Let me know what you guys think......

I would say you are probably safe and that you have a good chance of the appointment being the week of the 25th. However, you should be prepared to stay through the following week, just in case.

We are at the same point as you, but I just cannot buy tickets yet -- I really can't be away for more than 5 days or so. Worst case for me is if tickets are sold out I'll have to postpone the appointment. HATE to have it come to that, but I just can't stay in GC for 2 weeks.

I don't know; I think there's a backlog of people waiting for Pink right now that had DNA arrive at the end of the week, so that MIGHT fill out the appointments for the week of the 18th, BUT...I know as of Thursday and Friday of this past week they were giving people pinks with dates for less than a week later.

If your results arrive by Weds the 13th you could possibly get pink by the end of the week with an appointment the week of the 18th. They seem to have added Thursdays back into the rotation (with paperwork pickup on Mondays again) so I'd be willing to bet you'll have an embassy appointment on the 20th or 21st with paperwork pickup the 21st or 25th. So you might be flying HOME by then.

We got pink on August 7 and our appt. is August 18. I know it's different for everyone but it's always interesting to know others timelines...Good luck!!

If I were a betting woman (which I'm not) I'd guess the week of the 25th. Before they decided to add Thursdays in they were already giving out appts for the Tuesday of the week of the 18th. I think you will be safe going with the following week. Yay -- you're almost done!
