Lou...both of our adoptions were done very close to each other like yours. Brayden came home in August 06 and we started Layna's process in Feb. 07. Towards the end of Layna's process, I had similar feelings. I just wanted to be done with the waiting and emotional roller coaster that is adoption. The wait for PINK was so hard!!! I had expected it to come on a Thursday, and when it didn't, the thought of getting through Friday, Saturday and Sunday was unbearable.

When we started the process for Layna, I thought I would do better since we had been through it before and we had hit some bumps in the road with Brayden. So, I was ready for anything. I agree with some other posters...it doesn't get any easier. It doesn't matter what stage of the wait you are in...it is hard to know that your child is so far away!

On the plus...we did make it through and you will too. You just have to find all the strength that you can even though you feel exhausted. I will continue to pray for your family.

Oh my goodness! I felt the same way. I thought the wait after PGN was almost unbearable. I felt like I was coming out of my skin.

i don't know about EVERYONE>....but i did. lol....i seem to remember a little shoe throwing incident i may have had while waiting for eli. you are almost done...hang in there.

I dont even have to read all the replys to see that everyone answered YES!
We visited our son when he turned one...and after that I didnt sleep till April.(pick up) Everynight I cleaned. When I say night I mean morning..2,3am-?
We also had a hard time thinking that he was "legually" ours and we couldnt go get him. Our agency is SOOOO conservative we couldnt even go there early.
My husband was VERY mad about that part...after the long wait.

This is my first adoption and my first child this is been the rollar coaster ride that my lawyer told us that we would take and he was not kidding one bit.

We just made it in and new there was a risk but we went for it. I just never dreamed that the emotions would take over me. Our case was moving fast and than came the CNA we were on PIN and NEEDLES than everything was going fine flew thru the birthmom interview everything was great.

PGN wasn't to long thrilled when that was all over with and just new this journey was going to be over soon than came the BC that took forever and WHY????? No one can really give you a reason on why they take so long and now we have our passport and they our dragging on the DNA so once again I wanna be grateful that it's almost over but these steps just drain the happiness out of you.

Lou this wait was the hardest!!!! Add to that the fact that we were issued an I-72 AND our lawyer took his sweet old time and picked up our Pink paperwork too late for us to make it to our original appointment (we had to reschedule). I feel for you, but I tell you once you are holding your child you really do forget about the agony. Hope to hear your good news soon!
