Anyone Complete an I864W Form???

Since dh and I both visited Dulce they say we ned to complete the I864W which is that we are exempt from having to do the I 864 form.

Do I fill it out with my information and do we need to get it notarized?

Thanks for any insight.

Stacy

It is filled out as if the child is filling it out. Yes, it needs to be notarized.

I went to Guatemala for pick up of our DD alone and filled it out with our coordinator and it was not notarized.

I filled out the long form in USA before pickup & had it notarized....then at Embassy was told I only needed W form & had to fill it out in front of them.

To make double-sure, you could fill out two (one notarized & one not)....it's a simple form.

Do you still need the notarized tax returns or are we also exempt from that since we doing the I864W?

P.S. My agency makes me get everything notarized and get extra stuff and then I find out I don't need it! Like I have all day to run around finding notaries here when we can just as easily do it in Guat! Erh. (sorry, short vent)

I took tax returns (originals) that were un-notarized. They never asked to see anything other than our passports. The family in front of us, however, was asked for theirs, along with their homestudy and other paperwork. I think its better to be prepared and take it, but then find out it was all a waste, than to not take it and have issues at the embassy. Good luck!

The I864W is a simple one page tax form with information about you, not your child.

Fill it out here and have it notarized before travel - then all bases are covered.

Technically you do not need copies of your taxes, but why risk a problem Just copy the Federal Return for the last 2-3 years and attached a document to the front stating "this is a true copy" and have that notarized as well.

Then you know you have all bases covered!
